Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: SW-WSW Wind Stength: F5 Surf / Sea State: Nice waves Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Rainy Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Sailed in a different spot at Shoreham where the beach angle is more west
facing in the hope of better waves and something new. I rigged a 4.5m. It
was probably a little underpowered (comfortable!), but my 5m now has a hole
in it! And actually I had a very nice session, and there were pretty decent
ramps and waves coming through. Probably 2-3 foot and steepening up here
and there for wave rides. A bigger sail would have allowed easier
connection of the sections, but at least it was clean and lining up. I got
a lot of rides in, including one sweet lip bash where the tail slid out and
I was actually planing along the wave face fin first, before hooking it in
and swivelling round. It was the same place I had been catching big waves
on Monday, so definately has potential for when there's more wind and
swell.
